intros are always awkward (as is the word awkward), so let’s skip all that and assume we know each other already.  i’m annie, and you’re… someone interested in the arts?  good enough for me.  i’ve been in love with the theatre since i was in middle school.  i got the fever and it never let me go!  i’m privileged to work with so many talented people who feel the same way, and i have also been blessed with many opportunities to direct, act, and do set design for shows.  if you love theatre half as much as i do, you’re ok in my book.

you and i are gonna be kindred spirits.  i just have that feeling!

for my first official post, i’d like to tell you about the show i’m in currently.  it’s Godspell jr, and we just  opened tonight.  the cast is made up of staff member from CHYSS, which is the best job in the world.  more on CHYSS later!  this is the first show i’ve been in the cast for in almost 2 years, but thanks to a change in my work schedule i’ll now be able to do more shows.  Godspell’s been a blast.  i sing two songs (aghh!  i’m not really a singer, but whatev!  i pull it off somehow), and i also… directed?  you could call it that.  i made a lot of suggestions.  someone had to, and because i direct for CHYSS, i was chosen as the director by default.  thankfully it was easy… working with professionals is a plus!

you have one more chance to see Godspell.  camp hill high school, 7 pm tomorrow (july 22nd).  hopefully i’ll have some pics to put up for you, my theatre soulmate.
